• Chair, Graduate Student Council, City University of New York appointed by the provost to sit in as a member of the distinguished professional team to appoint the president of the City University of New York 1996.
• Appointment by the Queens county leader as Congressman Joseph Crowley to be a Delegate, to the Presidential National Convention in 2008
• Received proclamation awards from the City Council, State Assembly, Congressional and Senate.
• National Puerto Rican Day parade Emeterio Bentances Award who was an Abolitionist. He gave free medical care internationally to the poor.
• United Nations Ambassador for world peace award
• NAACP award for civic engagement,
• the Humanitarian Award from the African Americans in Flushing Queens. ​
